Kids' Shape Learning App

  • Main Idea Behind the Project
Now a days in the app store,we see almost every kind of kids app possible. What they do is like making fun and trying to do some teaching.Child watch and subconsciously learn those. It;s quite common for now.But we though if we could make something that's not only playful but also interactive with the baby and with some cool modifications,we could make a fun game for them so that it can learn through fun more interactively. That type of edu-game making was our plan and so we tryed to apply some of our ideas on our Software Development and Object Oriented Design Project and tried to fulfill our desired dream.
  • What it does ?
The whole idea is nothing but a simple kid-graphics based balloon game, where the balloons are popping up and kid has to tap those to reveal the hidden letter inside them. When the balloon is tapped it reveals a random letter or shape and also pronounce it out loud.So it becomes cool the game is on and baby interactively learn those as well. There are different modes and different colors with childish animations,graphics,score-boards and mixed sound tracks so that baby feels at home playing those. And also when these are done another phase of the game helps the baby to learn how to write those letters or draw the shaped with the helping tools and fill the color as baby wants. So that's the basic work actually.
  • Platform we used
We firstly wanted to do the entire thing on Android Studio. As soon as we started our work,it grew complex and we understood soon enough that we should not continue our whole work in Android Studio platform because it would grow more and more complex by the time.So we decided to work with Unity3D and we imported the sdk module for that to build up an app though later we just demonstrate as a desktop app but we were still working on it as an android app.
  • Difficulties we faced
Well firstly we didn't quite understand how to start the animation part and creating the platform. So we had to just randomly try out and work with different procedure and finally we started not with the animation part but the game play or game control part. The game control part is mainly dependent on the unity game engine design. So we had to learn the basics of C# and also needed some additional knowledge for running those scripts and debugging those. And also we had to work very hard to some very simple graphics adding and some animations at the end.Well honestly we were just the beginners then and so we had to undergo a lot of troubles and those remind us that whatever we do maybe it could be done better for the next time if we start from the scratch.Well at the end though there were not too many features were added but we could finally show some of the key features in a module using software development approach and could finally tried to show something similar we wanted.

  • Much Grateful To
Honestly I thank and appreciate very much for the immense help and guide for each and every step by helping me what we should do and how I should form my plan and what to do next.So basically I want to thank our honorable professor
