Blockchain Technology and Implementation

  • Main Idea Behind the Project
"Blockchain" is a new concept in our country and a buzzword throughout the world. Lots of researches are going on about its first killing app, the cryptocurrency named "Bitcoin". Recently from the perspective of Bitcoin, thousands potential researches are undergoing. So we decided to work on the "Blockchain Technology" itself and find some new applications of it and trying to simulate some of them.

  • What it does ?
The main objective of blockchain technology is that it can create the whole transaction system more directly connected like P2P(Peer to Peer)in really very secure way. For instance, I want to sell my laptop on bikroy.com. Some interested buyer has to see this first and then via the service of the organization, hopefully I can get my money and the desired person can have the laptop. If we were using the blockchain platform then there would be no need of any intermediary middleman to conduct this. Buyer and seller would be the acting agents then and they will decide how  they would set the rule for all the trade to happen.

  • Platform we used
This project is still in progress and so far what we could do is that we understood the basics and what is the method behind the tech and why it is so secure. According to how much we could cover, we represented a web based demonstration using JavaScript. We took help from "anders.com", mentioned in the link section, which helped us really a lot and also some details of implementation can be found on github.

  • Difficulties we faced
First of all the main problem was to make clear about the basic knowledge that why blockchain is a more advanced trading system that our normal day to day existing techs can't provide. As not too many reliable sources were there so we were collaborating with our professors who really gave us a lot valuable info on that topic and tried to grab almost every single thing on that possible(starting from well established platform, research paper, journal and even group discussion) from the internet to get going on. Lack of source problem still makes our work a bit difficult. Finally for the implementation approach, we had not enough knowledge in JavaScript to understand and apply the demonstration that we got from the source. So we had to make us fully clear about the basics and finally we understood the code that is actually running the entire demonstration.
